About Stephen

Stephen J. Burg is a trial attorney focused on representing victims of auto crashes, personal injury, trucking accidents, motorcycle collisions, product liability injuries, gas explosions, wrongful death, sexual assault, and harmful drug products.

A dedicated advocate for those who have been harmed by the carelessness of others, Stephen Burg has a long-standing reputation for his formidable skills as a litigator and negotiator. He is passionate about holding negligent parties accountable for their actions and maximizing financial recoveries for his clients.

Stephen has been recognized for his legal excellence both nationally and locally. He was named as a “Recommended Attorney” by the U.S. Legal 500. and has also been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America and a Colorado Super Lawyer. He is also named a “Top 100 Trial Lawyer” by the National Trial Lawyers, and Denver’s 5280 Magazine selected Mr. Burg as a “Top Lawyer” and the Face of Personal Injury Law Litigation since 2020. Mr. Burg has been admitted as a member of the “Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum” and was named Law Week Colorado’s “Compleat Lawyer”.

Stephen donates a substantial amount of his free time to supporting nonprofit organizations in Colorado and nationally. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Anti-Defamation League, the Colorado Judicial Institute (CJI) and ARC Thrift. Stephen helps to support the Denver Health Foundation’s Newborns in Need program, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, among others. He is an Associate Attorney for the ZRBG Pension Project – this project is designed to ascertain pension benefits for Holocaust survivors.

Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wyoming and his Law Degree from the University of Denver. He is currently licensed to practice in Colorado and in Arizona.
